People have asked me: "Why are you sharing everything on the blog? Shouldn't this be kept private?" And my answer is no. I suffered with infertility in silence for too long, I want my voice to be heard. Also, I have found by sharing my story, not only is is therapeutic for me, but it is also helping other people.
I have had friends from high school that have reached out to me and told me that they too are suffering from infertility. It seems the that infertility is the "silent" disease that you don't hear people really talk about. I know when I first looking for "my species" (to which one of my friend affectionately refers to us suffering infertility by), there wasn't a whole lot support or resources. There were a couple of groups on Myspace and maybe a couple of blogs, but not nearly as much as there is now (I hope to get a list of blogs posted soon). I have found peace and comfort in knowing that "I'm not the only one". I want to be that same source and comfort for someone else.
So, keep checking back for updates and thoughts. Some random. Some funny. Some crazy. And definitely some nearing TMI-I'm sorry for that one. Just keeping it real.
